8 months

Charlie started babbling this month and, of course, dadadadada...was her favorite.  We all heard her say other "words" at times (e.g., "hey"), but I'm not so sure if she really said "brilliant!" like Ella claims.  We continued to attempt to feed her solids, but we were met with very little enthusiasm.  She did manage to choke down some fruits and yogurt, but made disgusted faces at most other foods - especially table foods like puffs and crackers.  Any non-food items Charlie still worked diligently to get in her mouth, however.  Charlie was a great sleeper this month, taking 3 naps/day and sleeping 12 hours at night (thank you, baby girl!).  I had a lovely first Mother's Day with her...after Ella and Kris cooked me breakfast, he took the girls swimming while I worked out.  After shopping on my own (ahhh!), I met them for dinner and some time at the park.  This month, however, she started to show a signs of being another Daddy's girl...one time even crying when I took her from Kris.
