Charlie at 6 months
My little girl is growing up so fast! Mornings are often crazy as I try to get Ella ready for school, but we both can't wait to hear Charlie wake up so we can go in to see her. Her favorite crib activity is rolling all over the crib like a crazy woman, but as soon as she sees us, her whole face lights up into a huge smile. Ella is still enthralled by her little sister - she insists on giving Charlie kisses and hugs first thing every day, and she always tells me how Charlie is the sweetest baby in the whole world.
I love to make Charlie giggle. She loves being tickled and still squeals with laughter when I pretend that she's an ear of corn and have some baby-on-the-cob. Or when I pretend to eat her fingers or toes. Her fingers are still her favorite snack, and she often will have fingers from both hands shoved in her mouth, chewing happily.
Charlie is very, very close to sitting up now. She keeps lifting her head off her bouncy seat but still falls off to one side when sitting with her Boppy pillow.
Charlie loves drinking her bottles. Eating, not so much. We've tried rice cereal, sweet potatoes, apples, pears, and bananas. Charlie always responds the same way - by making a squishy face and trying to push the food out with her tongue. Is this our finicky eater?
Weight: 16lbs. 4oz. (50-75%) Height: 27in (95%)
