Names

I always liked boy names for girls, but Kris was very opposed to it for Ella.  We had no idea what to name baby #2, so I would periodically throw out names and see if any of them stuck with Kris.  One day I heard another parent call out Charlie (to a boy) on the playground, so I threw it out to Kris and he actually took to it.  I wasn't sure how I felt about such a boyish name, but I eventually came around to thinking Charlotte was a good "fallback" name.  We had no middle name when you were born, but we had talked about Emerson (I also like Grey and Ryan).  After a day or two, Kris insisted on me picking a name so he could send it out to everyone, so we went for it. 
Some of the other names we considered (in order of preference):
Lucy, Aidan, Dylan, Reese, Carter, Jillian, Ariana, Reagan, Lexi, Talia (this one Ella picked), Hadley. 
If you had been a boy, I liked Aiden, Levi, and Dylan.  Kris liked Ira.
